# Empowering the Forgotten Frontline

Retail remains the single largest private sector employer in the UK but until Covid-19 hit, workers in the sector had become the ‘Forgotten Frontline.’ Retail staff have been continuing to deliver on shopper expectations and experience, despite the increasingly volatile environment.

To find out what retail workers really think about the changing retail landscape, we commissioned independent research company Censuswide to survey 251 UK retail workers from retailers with over 100 stores.

The report reveals

- What retail workers think are the biggest challenges to customer service
- The concerns retail workers have over their in-store safety
- How long retail workers plan on staying in the sector
- How prepared stores were for Covid-19
